Basic principles of plastic film biaxial stretching process

The basic principle of the biaxial stretching process is to heat and melt the polymer raw materials through the extruder and extrude them into thick sheets. In an appropriate temperature range above the glass transition temperature and below the melting point, the polymer material is heated and melted by an external force through a longitudinal drawing machine and a transverse drawing machine. Under the influence, it is stretched by a certain multiple in the longitudinal direction and transverse direction.

This process will orient the molecular chains or crystal planes of the polymer in a direction parallel to the plane of the film and orderly arrange it. Then heat setting is performed under tension to fix the oriented macromolecular structure. Finally, after cooling and subsequent processing, the ideal plastic film can be obtained. This process can improve the mechanical, barrier, optical, and weather resistance properties of the film, and the produced film has stable dimensions, uniform thickness, and the characteristics of high-speed automation.
